Wondrous Love, released in 2009.
This CD surveys the gamut of song inspired by a love of God, and for Jesus.  There are traditional hymns- O Love that will not let me go, Like a river glorious, I heard the voice of Jesus say; there are well-known choral pieces- Lift thine eyes, Grace be unto you; there are German and Latin anthems- Selig sind die Toten, Exultate, justi; there are hymns from African-American and African sources, and from various folk traditions in which the composer is often unknown.  
In each case, the musical gift that is given to each of these texts is a gift of wings- wings that carry the song deep into the soul.  It is a gift of presence- sound that, having once sung these songs, does not leave the memory.  It is a gift of time and of place- each song bearing the melodies and the rhythms and the harmonies of its era or culture.  This musical gift is assembled here for the feast of love song found on the CD.
